- Jacobs Pardon 15-Year-Old Single Barr...
DESCRIPTION
The "Jacob" in the name of this whiskey refers to Jacob Taub, who along with this brother Abner were great whiskey makers, but terrible bootleggers, who were caught in 1929 during Prohibition. They were eventually granted a presidential pardon in the 1930s and went on to form the Baltimore Club Whiskey Co. In keeping with the spirit of such bottlings, this whiskey is bottled from a barrel selected by spirits expert and brand consultant F. Paul Pacult from MGP distillery in Indiana. It consists of 99% corn whiskey with 1% barley malt, aged 15 years in what Pacult believes to have been previously filled barrels.
