As ever, this wine expresses the singular elegance and powerful character of To Kalon Vineyard. This Reserve is blended from the finest blocks within To Kalon. The wine coats the mouth with fine tannins and sings with lively acidity. The wine is deep, vivacious, juicy, and flows beautifully from start to finish. Very enjoyable now, but with a long future ahead.
The blend of the 2018 is 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Petit Verdot, all aged 20 months in new French oak, but it seems to have absorbed every ounce, as it's undetectable. It's a brilliant, quintessential Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink 2025-2056.
