Disappointing dry oak bomb

Bottle was given to me by a very good friend that loves bourbon as much as I do. Wonderful gift idea, poor barrel select by the store. Both of us love Weller antique and both of us were super disappointed in this bottle. This is about as far away from an Weller Antique 107 profile as you can get. If the goal of the single barrel pick was to get a bottle that tastes like a double barreled Tennessee whiskey and not something made by Buffalo Trace, this was a success. If it was to get an elevated delicious sweet Buffalo trace wheater, epic fail. All dry oak, almost no sweetness and the finishes is super, super dry oak. It is not inherently bad whiskey, but for anyone excited to get a OWA 107 to drink, this is not it. Nice sticker (maybe Father Time is hinting that this was left in the barrel for too long?), cool bottle to display, but if you want to open and drink a sweet wheater, pass on this one. Easy to order, took about 10 days, but can't find it where I live. Love Nestor! I wish they could do away with the must sign for it when delivered. Others do not require. Great Experience overall!
