Making its debut in 2018, the Buchanan's Select 15 Year Blended Malt Scotch Whisky is the first-ever blended malt expression to permanently join the brand’s core range. Made from a selection of single malts from the heart of Scotland that have been aged for at least 15 years, each batch of this Scotch is carefully blended under the supervision of master blender Craig Wallace in order to achieve the desired flavor and texture before being brought to proof with pure water and finally bottled.
Each sip of this whisky greets you with a pleasing aroma of dried wildflowers, plum preserves, malt cereal, and hints of salty smoke. This is then followed by a rich and multi-layered palate of ripe berries, orchard fruits, honey, caramel, toffee, butterscotch, walnut, and toasted oak, all tied together by a gentle, drying finish accented by notes of nuts, malt biscuit, and black pepper spice.
