Bunnahabhain's Stiùireadair single malt pays homage to the distillery's shoreline on the north-east coast of Islay. They used whisky matured in first and second fill Sherry casks, with a leaning towards deliciously coastal malt. Stiùireadair is a sherried release from Bunnahabhain, intended as a partial replacement for the 12 Year Old.
A typically creamy and coastal whisky with notes of caramel, nuts, dried fruit and hints of spice.
NOSE: Dried fruit and creamy caramel with hints of brine, vanilla, nuts and a touch of spice.
PALATE: Creamy mouth feel with a dried fruit influence, sea salt, creamy caramel with hints of nuts and a gentle spice.
FINISH: Long and lingering with hints of dried fruit.
