The latest seasonal release from Sonoma Distilling Company is distilled with locally sourced, cherrywood smoked barley malted - which is not a common thing to see used in distillation, but it is very much a delicious thing, playing well with the classic spicy rye notes. It is aged for a minimum of 15 months, resulting in flavor notes of dried figs, toasted almonds, brandied cherries and new leather.
