Very Old Barton has been carefully distilled and aged for generations in Bardstown, Kentucky. This classic bourbon whiskey has a bold and rich taste that goes down smooth, just as it has for decades.
The entry-level release in the Very Old Barton range has been aged for at least 36 months. Rich and medium-bodied with dry wood spice, vanilla, and butterscotch.

Actually a good solid 3 yr. old expression for an excellent value in today's world of high inflation although there are those who will tell you that SPIRITS during tuff times are inflation proof. Don't believe and for my pallet this quality bottlr is as tasty as some of the higher end Bourbons and Whiskeys for sale today. Yes, I would purchase it again. Unless you are a high end snob this bottle will not disappoint. It's a solid 4 stars. Suggest +/- 87 points. A good Cigar helps as well.
Nestor always ships their bottles in great packaging and they did this time. However, because the Barton bottle has a plastic screw top it can leak when stressed in shipment. This is the case of one of the two bottles I received. I'm sure the seal cracked as it was bounced around in shipping so not the fault of Nestor. I lost about 3 fingers of Barton in one bottle so I suspect the problem occurred during the tail end of the shipment or more would have been lost or maybe the Angles took it. Barton could cost effectively remedy this with a cork seal cap or a quality plastic wrap over the screw top. Just sayin'!
